On March 18, 2009, the Office of Advocacy sent a letter to Congressman John McHugh and Congressman Kurt Schrader in support of legislation they introduced, the Home Office Deduction Simplification Act, H.R. 1509.

The bill creates a standardized home office tax deduction.
