Amazon.com Merges U.S., International Kindles; Lowers Price

In what is an obvious move to match the price of the newly announced Barnes & Noble nook, Amazon.com has lowered the price of the U.S.

/ International Kindle 2 to $259. This is, coincidentally, the same price as the nook, which previously undercut Amazon.com's GSM Kindle model.
