Rating: 4.5/5 Stars Rank: 316 (USA) April 1, 2005 - 5.0/5 stars A friend told me about "The Total Money Makeover". I bought the book, read it, and gave one to my sister and her husband. Ths particular book is great for someone who is way in over there head financially. It gives you very basic steps to get out of debt, and stay that way. The most important thing is setting a budget. This is NOT a total guide on how to do everything to become rich. Come on, we all have an imagination, use it. This is just a guide to a step in the right direction. As for those who complain about him charging for materials, why do you get paid to do your job? Are you taking advantage of your clients? Why does anyone in a social job (healthcare, social worker, doctor, police, fire) get paid? I mean, we need these people to help "take care" of us. The prices are not outrageous. So go buy the book, and get free of your financial burden.
