Cash is no longer king in New Zealand. A report found electronic funds transfer (Eftpos) had displaced cash as the most common method used to pay for things such as groceries, power bills and mortgage.

I have heard about this - but I never saw anything actually verifying it for sure. It is interesting how the worlds works in a complete circle. Now they are going back around to being cashless. I guess right now we are pretty much "virtual cash" since everything is primarily plastic. So - who knows...
