Utilizing its patent-pending Form-Sensing Mesh Technology, the Liberty chair combines all the benefits of traditional mesh seating - breathability, durability, sustainability and aesthetic appeal - with the body-friendly support of highly-contoured foam cushions. In designing Liberty, Niels rethought the application of mesh. Instead of using a single, flat panel of stretch mesh, he created Liberty with three panels of extremely low-stretch mesh, bonded together in a specific pattern to create a contoured shape optimized for the human back. The result is Liberty's Form-Sensing Mesh Technology, which provides exceptional lumbar support without an external lumbar device. In fact, this new technology adjusts dynamically to accommodate different back shapes and sizes.
