UPGRADES: Goldman Sachs upgraded POSCO (NYSE: PKX) to Buy and added the stock to their Conviction Buy List with a $150 price target.

Lazard Capital Markets upgrades shares of DryShips (Nasdaq: DRYS) from Hold to Buy. Benchmark upgrades Yahoo!

Westell Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: WSTL) 21% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.04, 9 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.05).

Revenue for the quarter was $40.5 million, versus the consensus of $42.65 million. Oriental Financial Group (NYSE: OFG) 18% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $2.04, versus the analyst estimate of $0.64.

Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD) 12.5% LOWER; reports Q2 loss of $0.49, (including a $0.13 favorable impact), or a loss of $0.62, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.47).


 

Intel Fined Record $1.45 Billion in Antitrust Case

The European Commission on Wednesday fined Intel a record €1.06 billion ($1.44 billion) for abusing its dominance in the market for computer chips to exclude Advanced Micro Devices, which is Intel’s only serious rival.The E.U. competition commissioner, Neelie Kroes, said the penalty against Intel.
