Dow Jones is about as old a company as you're likely to run into; founded in 1882, it makes at least a couple of countries look young.  It's staying with the times, though, as Rupert Murdoch expects considerably more than half of its revenue will soon come from digital undertakings.

Stocks tumbled Tuesday as a troubling reading on wholesale inflation underscored the drag of high energy prices on the economy.

Investors, also growing anxious again about banks' credit woes, sent the Dow Jones industrial average down more than 100 points.

NEW YORK - Oil prices made their biggest single-day leap ever Friday, dragging the Dow Jones industrials down nearly 400 points and raising the once-unthinkable prospect of $150 oil and more record gas prices by the Fourth of July.

As of 1:46 pm, all three indexes on Wall Street are in the green Thursday with the Dow Jones industrials average up about a third of a percent, while the broader indexes - NASDAQ and S and P 500 are up 0.13 percent and 0.31 percent respectively.

With the Dow Jones industrials average surging more than 300 points, Wall Street commenced the second quarter in positive territory.

Investors picked themselves up from the sidelines in an optimistic fashion, hoping that the worst of the credit crisis was behind them.

"There has been limited reporting on the extent and severity of the damage ... it's still a little bit unclear exactly how much damage was done"

Oil prices fell Friday after jumping more than $1 a barrel in the previous session as the bombing of a key Iraqi oil pipeline heightened supply concerns.

Thursday's bombing appeared to cut oil exports from the southern oil city of Basra, despite oil officials' statements to the contrary.

FED has just informed, that the new interest rate is 2.25%. At the moment Dow Jones is up with 2.25% and it is not sure, what will happen, as the markets expected more.

The stocks in Europe has risen a lot while waiting for FED to lower the interest rate.
