Clarification: Mortgage fraud story

In the first paragraph of an Aug. 10 story about a mortgage fraud trial, The Associated Press reported that real estate agent Joseph Babajian was acquitted in the scheme, while two others were found guilty.

The paragraph should have noted that Babajian was acquitted only of several charges.

The Securities Exchange Commission is seeking to permanently freeze the assets of a California financier accused of bilking investors until his fraud trial is over.
