Motorola Xoom Super Bowl ad teaser jabs at Apple's iconic '1984'...

Motorola has been preparing consumers for its "real" Super Bowl ad for the Motorola Xoom, and its latest teaser video is actually a 15 second clip of the video.

It shows a number of white hoodie wearing "drones" walking about while one young man, the only one not so dressed, seems to be reading George Orwell's "1984" (watch carefully at the start) in what is likely a jab at Apple and its famous Super Bowl "1984" ad that debuted the Mac.

After suffering multiple black eyes in the blogosphere and plenty of ire from Kindle users, Amazon has finally decided to make good on its ill-advised decision to delete illegally distributed copies of George Orwell's 1984 from users' Kindle e-reader devices.

Last week Amazon did something despicable. They violated the privacy of every Kindle user when without warning they remotely deleted copies of George Orwell’s 1984 and Animal Farm from Kindle Readers.

It seems that Amazon had determined these books had been purchased "illegally." (The irony of choosing these particular books goes without saying.) This set off a firestorm of protest and criticism aimed directly at Amazon and raised some very serious questions about electronic books (and electronic content) in general.

Some users discovered last week that Amazon has the capability to remove books from their Kindle electronic reading devices, even though they were bought, paid for, downloaded, and in the users' possession.

Ironically, among the books with which this was discovered was George Orwell's 1984, which postulated a society where history could be changed by rewriting it.
