Here's a happy story from someone who bought a "Box of Crap" (this is what we call a box that looks new, but contains the wrong item or a used item, due to return fraud).

Instead of accusing reader Ryan of some sort of crime, Home Depot simply issued him a gift card. Hooray!


 

Home Depot plans price cuts to bring back shoppers

Home improvement chain The Home Depot Inc. says it plans to temporarily cut prices on up to 1,200 items in stores during a three-week rollout to bring customers back to its stores.

The discounts — between 5 percent and 50 percent — will last through at least through the next quarter.
