Billionaire and activist investor Carl Icahn said Tuesday he will again extend his offer to buy Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., and removed the condition of the offer requiring at least 50.1 percent of shares to be tendered.

Once upon a time, Carl Icahn complained about the way Jerry Yang was running Yahoo and bought a massive number of shares to force him out.  Later, Icahn joined Yahoo's board of directors and gave Carol Bartz his full support.  Now, Icahn's involvement seems almost over, as he's sold around 7.9 million shares.

Shareholders are being invited to get involved in the tussle between Lions Gate Entertainment Corp.

Carl C. Icahn said on Friday that he was now seeking to acquire all of Lions Gate Entertainment , expanding a tender offer for the film company that originally sought only to expand his stake to 29.9 percent.

Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., the movie studio behind the "Saw" horror franchise, said Monday it posted a larger-than-expected loss for its fiscal fourth quarter, though revenue came in better than forecast.
