Networking company Cisco said Wednesday it is challenging Microsoft's $8.5 billion takeover of Skype at the European Union's top court to ensure Microsoft won't block other video conferencing services.

Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg said he has no date in mind to take the Internet social networking company public, and defended changes to the service that have provoked privacy concerns.

SharesPost, a marketplace for trading in private companies, said that values of shares trading in Facebook peg its worth at $11.5 billion.

That's roughly the same value reported when Russian investors took a reported $300 million stake in the social networking company in December.

Two helpings of Facebook shares apparently weren't enough.  Russian investment firm Digital Sky Technologies has gone back to the well for a third time, spending perhaps $100 million to buy still more shares in the social networking company.

Financially speaking, Marc Andreessen believes Facebook's on the right track.  Today, the man with ties to Netscape, AOL, and Ning - and who also happens to sit on Facebook's board - supplied some big figures with respect to the social networking company.

Digital Sky Technologies invested $200 million in the social networking company in return for a 1.96 percent stake.

Deals involving Google and Microsoft may get the government feeling nervous, but so far, Facebook's growth isn't causing much anxiety.  The SEC has given the social networking company special permission to keep hiring and handing employees equity without publicly sharing its financial data.
