Spain's economy growth ground to a halt in the third quarter, the country's central bank said Monday, further raising doubts over the government's deficit-reduction goal.

Global sports equipment maker Amer Sports Corp., whose brands include Atomic, Salomon and Wilson, saw third-quarter net profit grow 16 percent to euro55.3 million ($77 million) on surging sales.

Telenor's third-quarter net profit rose by 52 percent amid higher revenues, trimmed costs and a lower tax rate, the Norwegian telecommunications group said Wednesday.

Nokia Corp. has announced a third-quarter net loss of euro68 million ($94 million) from a profit of euro529 million a year earlier as sales of smartphones plunged 39 percent and overall revenue dipped 13 percent.
