HIGHER;

  • United States Natural Gas (NYSE: UNG) up 7.5% to $9.29. Duke energy settled an agreement for a price hike in Kentucky.

    Shortages in China coming to fruition.
  • Claymore/MAC Global Solar Energy (NYSE TAN) is up 3% to $10.05. The ETF is being pumped up by the United National Climate Change Conference due to kick off Monday, December 18, 2009.

    Talk of solar, wind, biofuel, water, smart-grid, and fuel cell incentives are stoking the flames.

LOWER:

  • iShares Silver Trust (NYSE: SLV) down 1.5% to $7.88.
