HTC is the latest manufacturer to announce new smartphones at Mobile World Congress, with a launch of a trio of phones: the Incredible S, Desire S, and Wildfire S on Feb. 15, 2011.

All the devices will launch in Europe and Asia in Q2 2011, but no mention in the press release (below) of a U.S. launch date.

The LG Optimus Pad, previously known as the LG Optimus G-Slate and the LG Optimus G-Tablet, has been made official as of Monday at the Mobile World Congress.

There are a variety of Hands-On videos running around, but its LG's own promo video is probably going to be more popular for its hilarity.

It's not as big as the first cellular call "period," but Verizon Wireless has announced it has just made the first VoLTE (Voice over Long-Term Evolution) call on a commercial LTE network.

As was earlier reported, Verizon has also been planning to demonstrate VoLTE at Mobile World Congress next week.

After a series of new products have altered the technology landscape in recent years, companies at the Mobile World Congress are making smaller changes.
