(Carbon Disclosure Project) US cities are starting to plan ways of coping with climate change, says a new report.

Flooding of subways and other infrastructure caused by extreme weather and sea level rise, shortages of food, water and energy, and health and economic risks are among concerns of city planners in 18 US cities surveyed, including New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, West Palm Beach, Portland and Las Vegas.

Many are also implementing carbon reduction programs for municipal activities as a prelude to leading citizen CO2 reduction efforts.
