who to have the right start in sap careers ??

Guys ,, i want help regarding the career path of the SAP ,, I'm certified SQL Server development and administration and some skills like (c#, OOP concepts) , now ... one of my friends give me advice to learn sap ,, i've choices one of them is go for ABAP (technical)
and the other one is Business Object or any related functional modules as i'm faculty of commerce graduate . i'm really confused and i don't know what to do...
